Were you looking for the Air Vent Lights or the Flashlight from the several other games?

I also want to emphasize the importance of using your door lights. There are blind spots in your camera views, and those blind spots happen to be right outside of your doors.

The Hall Lights are vital in-game features (through conventional playthroughs) used in Five Nights at Freddy's and later in Five Nights at Freddy's: Help Wanted.

Physical Description[]

They mainly serve to expose the animatronics in the darkened hallways of the player's security post and can also be used to check if they are still near the doorways. They are the only way to check the areas right outside the doors, as those spots cannot be viewed from the Monitor.

The player can actually beat the original Five Nights at Freddy's game without the use of the Hall Lights through the entire playthrough, although it is incredibly atrocious. The videos of this can be seen here and here.
