The mobile version of Five Nights at Freddy's 2 is a port released for Android on November 13, 2014 and iOS on November 20, 2014. This port costs $2.99. It was later released for Windows Phone on December 4, 2014. The game also received an Amazon Fire OS Port for $2.99, but suffers more framerate drops than other mobile ports due to the Amazon Store's tighter memory limit. This has been fixed in later ports to Fire OS.

The remastered edition was released on October 29, 2019.

Currently, the game was available on Google Play Store, iTunes, Amazon, and Windows Phone.

Differences[]

Original Version[]

  • The animations for the toy animatronic trio on the menu have been removed.
  • Mangle's radio frequency audio is absent in any room it is in, including the Right Air Vent blind spot.
  • Toy Bonnie doesn't slide into view when putting on the Freddy Fazbear Head to deter him when he is in the Right Air Vent. Instead, he simply exits the vent like the other animatronics do when the player puts on the head.
  • The base aspect ratio is 16:9, as opposed to 4:3. This makes rooms appear differently sized and affects time to scroll to the other end of rooms.
  • Some animations are now much quicker or completely absent, such as the animations for the Freddy Head and the Monitor, and the static in the menu or camera feeds. This is also true for most jumpscares. For example, the Puppet's jumpscare has only 7 unique frames. Compare this to the PC version, which has 17.
  • Cutscenes after finishing a night are absent.
  • The animatronics are more aggressive in the mobile port than on the PC version.
  • The A.I. is not freely customizable in the Custom Night menu, and it is instead restricted to presets.
  • Toy Bonnie will not appear in the Party Room 4 camera on the iOS version. This is also true for Toy Freddy in the Game Area.
  • Death minigames are much more simplistic.
  • If Golden Freddy is active, he can attack at any time, even while in the camera. This only happens on the Android and Fire OS versions. This makes Night 6 or the others including Golden Freddy almost impossible on Android and Fire OS.
  • When Withered Freddy, Withered Bonnie, Withered Chica, or Toy Freddy enter the Office, they take a much longer time before they leave, regardless of whether or not the player equips the Freddy Fazbear Head. This only happens on the iOS version on some older iOS platforms.
  • The Music Box winds up much slower in the iOS version on some older iOS platforms.
  • There is no audio for the Air Vent Lights.
  • The Flashlight will become disabled for a much longer time when an animatronic is moving down the hallway in the mobile version. This makes Foxy an incredibly difficult animatronic to handle on later nights, especially in the Custom Night presets in which he is set to 20, considering that the animatronics are more aggressive than in the PC version.
  • When the Flashlight is disabled by an animatronic moving, it makes the sound that occurs if using it is attempted when disabled by BB.
  • Compared to the PC version, the animatronics in the Air Vents take around 3 seconds before they leave, whereas in the PC version, they take around 5 seconds before they leave. The only exception to this is Toy Bonnie, who may linger at the Right Air Vent for extended periods of time.
  • Shadow Freddy and Endo-02 do not appear in the mobile version.
  • RWQFSFASXC freezes the game rather than crashing the game.

Remastered Version[]

  • Everything listed above is changed and fixed what it originally was in the PC version.
  • Many images and posters in the cameras, newspapers, and Office are different from the PC version.
  • Toy Bonnie's guitar is remodeled in the new posters due to a copyright reason.
    • Toy Bonnie is not carrying his guitar while he is in Party Room 3.
  • RWQFSFASXC and Shadow Freddy will now cause the player to be sent back to the menu screen.
  • The light angle in Party Room 3 is shifted to the left, making the poster out of vision.

Cheat Mode (Survival Kit)[]

Introduced in the remastered port, the Cheat Mode is available for purchase for $4.99. It gives the player an opportunity of unlimited usage of the Flashlight, faster nights, and a radar map which shows the location of each animatronics more easier.

Trivia[]

  • There was a demo that was released for Android devices on the Google Play Store. However, unlike the other core series mobile port demos, it only allowed the player to play Night 1. This might be because the demo of the first game was completely replaced by the full game, and since there were no demos available at the time, Scott left only night 1 to play.
    • At an unknown time, the demo was completely removed.

Bugs[]

Original Version
  • When Withered Freddy, Withered Bonnie, Withered Chica, or Toy Freddy enters the Office, if the player turns on the Air Vent Lights, this will result in said animatronic seemingly turning invisible. This also occurs on the PC version.
    • If the player raises and lowers the Monitor or Freddy Fazbear Head after this happens, they will still be attacked by the animatronic.
  • There is a glitch where Mangle can be seen in two different rooms at the same time.
  • Similar to the first game, leaving the game and returning without closing will cause most in-game sounds to completely mute.
Remastered Version
  • A glitch can occur with the Freddy Fazbear Head and the Monitor being equipped for a few seconds.
    • Rarely, Withered Bonnie will jumpscare instead of Withered Chica.
  • The Toy Bonnie figurine reward after completing the Custom Night's "Double Trouble" preset will not appear on the desk.
    • This is most likely related to Toy Bonnie's guitar change due to copyright, and not having an updated version ready at the time.
      • The Toy Bonnie figurine was later added to version 2.0.3.
  • Withered Foxy can jumpscare the player when he's not in the hall on Night 6 and Custom Night.
  • On weaker devices, it's possible that randomly, when raising the cameras, the player may not be able to lower them again for the rest of the night. This makes getting through the following nights impossible, as the player could be jumpscared by any of the animatronics that can lower the camera.
  • On certain unknown occasions, when loading The Puppet's music box, the game may ignore several audio files, leaving the game virtually silent. Only the sounds of the ventilation, noise in the hallway, and the jumpscares' sounds that can be heard by the player remain.
